Report from Robert Boerman.

After I received a phonecall from my 13 year old nephew Jan-Willem, I went to Steenderen where he saw a ball of light, landing in their lawn. He saw the ball of light moving slowly and he had time enought to run into his house to get his camera. The other balls of light he had see before moved faster as this one.

The ball of light landed in their lawn, exactly in a little brown spot that was in the lawn already. The little brown spot had a diameter of 10 centimeters. At a distance of 2 metres, there was another brown spot. These brown spots weren't noticed before. The spot were the ball of light landed 'in', felt warm. Jan-Willem told us that the little brown spot maybe lie on a leyline. We hope we can do some ley line research in the near future.

Jan-Willen gave me the film because he want it developed by a professional photografer. The next day the photo's were developed and I saw the ball of light on one of the photo's. I asked the photographer if he want to see something strange. The ball of light was also to see on the negative.

That afternoon I called Jan-Willem that the photo's were ready and that there was a ball of light on one of the photo's, but when I looked at it during the phonecall, I saw that the ball of light was smaller than before. After approx. 2 hours, when I brought the photo's to Jan-Willem, there was no ball of light on the photo at all. It dissapeared from the photo and after a better look at the negative, there was also nothing to see.

After we talked a while Jan-Willem told me that the photo on which I saw the ball of light wasn't the photo that he took of the ball of light. This was just a photo to see in the camera functioned well. On the photo that photo Jan-Willem took of the ball of light was also nothing to see.

After all of this I was glad that I asked the photographer to look at the photo when I was in his shop, because when I didn't asked him, nobody would believe me when I tell this story about the 'dissapearing ball of light'.

When i spoke to Jan-Willem this week, he could tell me that the second spot was all grass again but the little brown spot were the ball of light landed was still brown.

Update: 17-01-2001

during the snowfall of the end of December 2000, the whole lawn of Jan Willen was white, exept the place where the ball of light landed. This spot melted. These days it is freezing here (approx. -6 degrees Celsius) and Jan Willem's lawn is frozen completely, and again, EXEPT the spot where the ball of light landed. This spot is not frozen at all!
