03- Hoeven, Noord Brabant, 21-06-2001
After we entered the formation, we saw a lot of stalks that were partly dried up. The upper 20 centimetres - till the first leaf - of the 60 or 70 stalks were completely dried-up. As far as we could see, there were no other dried-up stalks in the field. At the diagram, one can see where the dried-up stalks stood inside the formation.Update, 27-06-2001: At first we thought that there weren't no grain of corn inside the dried-up ears, but after a closer look we saw that the grain of corn were much smaller than the ones in the controle samples. On this photo, one can see very clear the different sizes. The grain of corn at the left is from the yellow ear and the other one from the green ear.
There also were some ears with that weren't totaly dried-up, but just partly.

Mathijs Melissen reported the PTAH Foundation about some circles that were added to the Hoeven
formation. De first circle (6) was discovered at 03-07-2001, and the other circle (7)
at 17-07-2001.
Update 23-07-2001: by Robert Boerman.
After we visited the Ridderkerk and Goedereede formations, we deceided to go to the
Hoeven formation, because Mathijs Melissen reported us earlier that there were some
circles added.
