Report from Robert Boerman and Jan-Willem Bobbink
During a flight at 04-08-2002 we discovered a single crop circle near Emmen. From the air we could see that the formation was several weeks old because the grain was partly standing up.
At 06-08-2002 we visited the crop circle. (diameter 7.60/7.90 metre) The first thing we noticed was that some stalks were bend just above the ground. The stalks which weren't bend were broken 15 till 20 cm above the ground. We also found some blown nodes and elongated nodes. The most special thing of this formation were some dead flies at the top of the stalks. Once if you touched the stalk, the fly goes off.
